The new Sony Xperia sola claims to incorporate the companys proprietary technology to offer users premium entertainment they want. It features a unique "floating touch" navigation that allows users to browse the web, and their home screens by hovering their finger above the screen, without actually touching it. The smartphone is also NFC-enabled and comes with two NFC Xperia SmartTags in the box, which can be personalized with up to 10 commands. Powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, the Xperia sola sports a crisp 3.7-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, xLOUD and 3D surround sound audio technology to deliver superb multimedia experiences. It also comes with fast capture that allows the phones built-in camera to activate from sleep in just over a second with a single key press.
Comes in black, white and red, the Sony Xperia sola will be available in Q2 this year, initially with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. And upgradeable to Android 4.0 ICS during summer 2012. Pricing details not available at press time.
